The materials used to manufacture your car seat can degrade with the different elements. This is includes the heat, sun, freezing temps and of course above average use. This is one of the primary reasons not to purchase a used car seat. Check the date!

Car seats are very different than a car seats harness. Not all harnesses are the same, so it is very important to take the time to know and make sure all parties are secured.
Straps should be flat against your child and properly tightened. It is best to remove big and bulky coats when they are in the seat.
